I was on my roof for this shot….. I wanted to get an amazing view of the lightning and this crazy (one of many) idea caused my neighbors come out to see if I was going to get strucked….. Not this time… (Just in case you were wondering…)

Rotorua, New Zealand.
This was the view from outside my hotel. It was my second day in the country and I woke up early in the morning (I’m not a morning person) to go out and take photos. It was still sprinkling outside, but that wasn’t going to stop me. I didn’t have much time between taking a picture and having to put the camera back in the case and wipe it down. I think this photo really captures the dreary weather I was dealing with.
And I’d do it again in a heartbeat.
