My lovely crazy yellow 5 meter water-proof minolta weathermatic 35DL.
Beach bag with holes in it, so the water can get out. I was hoping for a water-proof bag, but oh well.
The LED next to the viewfinder has stopped working, for the rest it goes like a charm. Switchable 35mm/50mm lens!!! The viewfinder moves along. Who needs a zoom lens, they are just slow!
F/5.6 at 50mm, so don’t load anything lower than iso 400 unless it’s summer.
It accepts either 4 AAA batteries or a camera 4.5 V battery. How convenient is that!
Like other P&S Minoltas and unlike my LOUD Yashica T4, this camera is very quiet to operate, and it takes some pretty decent photos too!
All in all almost perfect for street photography under any weather condition, apart from the fact that it is rather big and yellow so hard to stay unnoticed, and this particular example doesn’t warn me when the flash will be fired.

Water is the theme in my photostream this week.
This is my best stop motion cloud video out of 5 or 6 attempts in the last couple years. This has exactly 500 shots at f22, shot 5 seconds apart with a timer. The video is 80 times faster than in real life. A polarizing filter was used to darken the sky a bit, but the quality here doesn’t show it. The shots were done at 5 megapixels, but they were automatically re-sized to 640 X 480 in Windows Movie Maker, so the image quality is so-so. One of these days, I’m gonna upgrade my computer and then get some good video software.
The pink blur that appears 6 times at the bottom of the screen is a young woman walking around the oval parking area where this was shot. She started her walk after several minutes of photos were shot. I don’t know if she ever even noticed the camera.
